Buckeye Careers provides a unified career services support model available to all students and employers. Buckeye Careers works in partnership with all university career-related services to help employers find the customized support they need, from creating a new internship program to connecting with students. Career and Internship Fair

The University-Wide Career and Internship Fair is a one stop shop for on-campus jobs, internships, and full-time careers. For more details and a list of employers attending, visit handshake.osu.edu

In-Person:Wednesday, September 13 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Ohio Union
Interview Day: Thursday, September 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ohio Union
Virtual:Thursday, September 14 from 2 to 6 p.m. on Handshake

Career Week

During Career Week, students can attend workshops to connect with and learn from employers on a variety of professional development topics.

Career PREP Certification

New for 2023!

Buckeye Careers is launching a new program to help students improve their professional skills and career knowledge. After completing four (4) activities during Career Week, students earn their Career Prep Certification, which they can highlight on their LinkedIn or Handshake profile.

Career Closet

Buckeye Careers wants all students to look and feel their best when attending career fairs, interviews, or internships. Open to all students, Career Closet Pop-Ups allows students to find free professional clothing, shoes, and accessories to mix and match or build a complete outfit. Career Closet Pop-Up events will take place in the Younkin Success Center, Room 150 on:

Wednesday, August 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wednesday, September 27 from 3 to 6 p.m.
Wednesday, January 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wednesday, February 7 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Career Fair AMA (Ask Me Anything)

Do you have questions about career fairs? Well look no further, we have the answers. Drop into an “Ask Me Anything” session to find out details, learn how career fairs operate and get help calming nerves!

Workshops

Maximize your career preparation with Ohio State’s career resources! Whether you are preparing for a job or graduate school interview, revising your resume or searching for an internship, there is a Buckeye Careers workshop designed for your needs. These professional development opportunities are open to all Ohio State undergraduate, graduate, professional and post-doctoral students.

Tuesday, August 29 from 7 to 8 p.m. – Leveraging Handshake
Wednesday, September 13 from 3 to 4 p.m. – Job Search Strategies
Thursday, October 26 from 9 to 10 a.m. - Career Strategies for Diverse Populations
Tuesday, November 14 from 1 to 2 p.m. – Resume Workshop

Career Coaching Appointments and Drop-In Hours

Students can receive individual career coaching by scheduling an appointment through Handshake by logging into Handshake.osu.edu, click Career Center and then Appointments. From there, select a date and time to meet with a coach from either Buckeye Careers or your specific college.

Virtual same day appointments for Fall 2023 will be available every weekday from 2 to 3 p.m.

Students can reserve a half-hour spot by contacting 614-688-3898 as late as noon the day of the appointment.
