Career Fair Prep Events

Not sure what to expect at a career fair? Buckeye Careers is here to help you make the most of your career fair season. We are offering a wide variety of workshops to prepare for the busy career fair season. Check out the schedule below and we look forward to seeing you at a workshop!

The 2024 University-Wide Ohio State Career and Internship Fair will take place on Wednesday, September 18 from 1-5 p.m. at the Ohio Union and Thursday, September 19 from 2-6 p.m. in Handshake. Please contact Tara Nord with questions regarding the fair or career fair prep programming.

Drop-In Resume Reviews:

 Make sure your resume is career fair ready! Stop by to recieve feedback from a career services staff member. Registration is not required but encouraged.

How to Talk to Employers at a Career Fair

Ever wonder what to say or ask when chatting with an employer at a fair? You will learn best practices and tips on how to network with employers and what questions to ask.

What is a Virtual Career Fair?

Whether you've never attended a career fair or have partipcapated in the past, this session will help you make the most of this event and answer any questions. 

Disability Etiquette at OSU - A Session for Everyone with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities

Have questions about disabilities or how to be an ally at OSU? You’ll leave this session knowing about the most common disabilities at U.S. colleges and universities, the language and actions you can use to be an ally to your peers every day, and the process of disclosing a disability.

Handshake 101

Learn valueable tips and insight on how to best prepare for your Handshake profile and research particpating companies. 

Ask Me Anything (AMA)

Got questions about the career fair or career related topics?  Drop-in anytime during this 30-minute informal virtual room to ask any questions you have.
